“Heather has a flexible style, yet does not compromise on quality or client service.
She has sound and
seasoned judgment and applies broad knowledge when addressing challenges."
"She makes tough, timely and pragmatic decisions
as required, successfully managing the mental balancing act between analysis and decisiveness.”
WHAT I HAVE TO SAY
“While the creative process is what feeds me intrinsically,
I find it crucial to keep my focus aligned with the company’s goals.
Because I start the process with these goals in mind, I generally find that
presenting and explaining my work to stakeholders is not a painful proposition.”

REAL WORLD EXAMPLES
HRO In-House Printing
When I joined HRO, all printing was done through outside vendors. Final product quality was excellent, but at times, was prohibitively expensive, in my opinion. Too much of my budget was going toward print costs. When the firm began looking for a new on-site document management company, I met with the two finalists.
I toured their facilities, researched the equipment they were providing and documented the promises they were each making. My goal was to bring the majority of print work inhouse. I made my recommendation that we go with DTI. Firm leadership took my recommendation into account when negotiating the contract. DTI won the contract. I redesigned HRO’s collateral, invitations, etc. to be compatible with the digital print process used by DTI. In doing so, I cut my print budget by more than 50%, increased flexibility of print design, and was able to offer more services to my internal clients. Everybody won!

Hometown Roots Photo Shoots Washed Out
While shooting portraits for the Holland & Hart "Hometown Roots" ad camapign for the Reno office, the rain and wind picked up and continued relentlessly throughout Reno area. The intent was to shoot attorney portraits in recognizable outdoor locations throughout the town to use in
a series of ads. The forecast had other plans.
So, after asking some locals about well-known indoor sites, I took a cab downtown and starting walking to various interesting locales. I walked in and spoke with the owners/managers of art galleries, restaurants, government buildings, and the like, explaining my goals and my situation. A fair number of proprietors agreed to let me conduct shoots within their establishments ... I even had a free meal at one location. In the end, I was able to complete all of my ad shoots during that trip, a couple of establishments gained free publicity from the resulting ads, and more richness and depth was brought to my campaign.
